Aardman Academy Awardee for the New Designers’ Screening Award 2021

Accompanied by her childhood friends, a now jaded adult sits at a bar and recounts a fond day in their childhood: the day they skipped school to play video games.

Like It Was Yesterday is a short animated film that follows the journey of three elementary school kids, complete with light-hearted banter, bursts of colour, and a surrealist waltz through memory that never paints a perfect picture.

I wrote, directed, and animated this short film for my final year at Cambridge School of Art. It features my actual childhood friends as voice actors — that’s my favourite part.
